No, the horn actually evolved FOR butt scratching. Just because it hasn’t succeeded in its main function in other species doesn’t mean evolution is not trying to optimise it for its ordained function and evolutionary purpose. In other news, humans are the highest lifeform, where evolution has finally stopped dead in its tracks, just short of having evolved a pair of horns for our own butt-scratching and pulling hypotheses out of the same region… =P
