Junk DNA theme song.

Whenever I read a claim that non-coding DNA was long dismissed as useless junk but now is turning out to have important functions, this song runs through my head.

    Brilliant :D
I suspect that ‘back in the day scientists used to think that only 1% of DNA did anything at all whatsoever, boy weren’t they wrong!’ will enter the Big Book of Undergraduate Lecture Straw-Men.

It’s fit nicely between ‘Watson and Crick vehemently asserted that DNA translates to RNA to protein, boy weren’t they wrong!’, and “before Christopher Columbus nobody knew the world was round! weren’t they wrong!”. All crude caricatures that only partially reflect to what was really thought at the time.
